I Excerpt: "The Old Lady" is a horror story about a lonely woman who collected severed heads
The policeman was sitting on a sofa with a pen and notebook in his hand. An old lady came in with a cup of tea and set it on the table in front of him.
"Before you take me to the station, perhaps I should tell you why I did it, Sergeant," she said. "In truth, it was mainly for society's sake." I feel very lonely being an old lady and young people don't seem to want to spend time with me. I just like to sit there and talk."

"Mrs. Ordway was the first," she said, sitting in a comfortable chair. "I remember it like it was yesterday. She came to my house to sell beauty products. I invited her in and made her tea." I went to the kitchen and picked up an axe. Then, when she was least suspicious, I sneaked up behind her and chopped off her head."
"Next was Mr Bilgeman. He was a plumber and had come to fix a leaking pipe. I made him some tea while he was off work. Then I got an axe from behind the sofa and chopped off his head as well."
